Supporting Your Mental Health and Wellbeing

The Life Lounge is here to support your mental health and wellbeing while you study at the University of Greater Manchester. We bring together a range of specialist, free services for students, including:

  • Counselling
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Wellbeing Advisors
  • Mental Health Advisors

You’ll also find a calm, welcoming space where you can relax and make use of resources designed to help you unwind.

The Life Lounge is part of Student Services and is dedicated to helping you look after your wellbeing. Alongside our in-person services, we’ve developed a Mental Health and Wellbeing Online Resource you can access 24/7, all year round.

This resource is full of:

  • Helpful advice and guidance
  • Self-help guides
  • Information on mental health and wellbeing
  • Details of our workshops - covering topics like improving sleep, managing stress, creative writing, and more.
