Supporting Your Mental Health and Wellbeing

The Life Lounge is part of Student Services and we are dedicated to helping you look after your mental health and wellbeing whilst you are studying at the University. We offer a range of specialist, free services for our students including access to:

  • Wellbeing Team
  • Mental Health Advisors
  • Therapeutic Interventions
  • Wellbeing Workshops
  • Relaxation Spaces
  • Pets as Therapy

You will find a calm and welcoming space with us where you can relax and make use of the resources designed to help you unwind.

If you would like to make an appointment with us, please complete our registration form - Life Lounge | Registration Form | University of Greater Manchester

We aim to respond to all referrals to the service within two working days. We will offer you an initial appointment with a member of our team who will complete an assessment and recommend an appropriate pathway of care based on your preferences and needs.

To learn more about our service or to get help completing your registration form, please contact us on 01204 903 566 or e-mail lifelounge@greatermanchester.ac.uk

You can find us in T2, Eagle Tower, Chancellors Mall. We are open Monday to Friday from 08:45am until 5pm.

We are primarily an appointment-based service; however we can offer drop-in support to students who are struggling and are unsure of who to approach for help.

Please note, we are not a crisis service. If you need emergency mental health support then please visit your local Accident & Emergency or call 111 and dial option 2.
