There is plenty to do in Bolton, Greater Manchester that will enhance your experience of studying in the area and offer you fun opportunities for when you are not studying:

- Bolton town centre: there are opportunities to shop and socialise, a large shopping centre called Bolton Market Place that offers a mix of unique independent stores and major high street names, and many cafes, coffee shops and restaurants in the vaults.

- The Cinema: Bolton Market Place is home to The Light, a state of the art nine screen cinema with a café-bar. See the latest blockbusters, enjoy international cinema and don’t miss the annual Bolton Film Festival.

- Middlebrook Retail Park: Make use of your student discount at the UK’s largest retail park, a great place to visit for shopping, eating out or bowling at Hollywood Bowl. You can get a bus or train from Bolton to Middlebrook.

- The arts: Bolton Town Centre is a cultural hotspot, home to the Art Gallery, Library and Museum – plus the Octagon Theatre. Discover the Ancient Egypt Gallery, uncover local heritage, enjoy live performances, and visit Greater Manchester’s only public aquarium.

- Football: Greater Manchester is well known for it’s football. Take in a local match at Bolton Wanderers or take on the mighty rivals of Manchester United or Manchester City. Are you a red or a blue?

- Bolton Interchange: A transport hub that connects the Bolton bus and train stations, making it easy to get around Greater Manchester and beyond. Bolton Interchange is conveniently located next to the Greater Manchester Business School and just a 15 minute walk from main campus.

Bolton is part of Greater Manchester, and Manchester City Centre is only 20 mins from Bolton by a frequent rail service. Manchester is one of the world’s greatest cities with, many students heading to Manchester to shop, socialise and explore.
