Working while you study as an international student is a popular way to gain work experience and improve your employability.
If you are studying for a qualification at degree level or above, you can usually:

- work up to 20 hours per week during term-time

- work full-time during vacation periods and after your course has ended, before your Student visa expires, depending on your course.

We advise you to check your eligibility to work during your studies with the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA): https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information--Advice/Working/Can-you-work

You can also view your immigration status and working conditions by logging into your UKVI account and generating a share code. This will confirm your right to work and the restrictions attached to your Student visa.

Please note that there are some types of work you must not do during your studies under your Student visa. These include being self-employed, engaging in business activity, or working as a professional sportsperson/entertainer.
