At the University of Greater Manchester, we are committed to equality, diversity and an inclusive environment for all students.
We support both home and international students with physical, sensory and communication impairments, mental health conditions, long term illnesses and specific learning difficulties.
At the University of Greater Manchester, we are committed to equality, diversity and an inclusive environment for all students. Our experienced disability advisors support over 17% of our student population who have disclosed a disability or additional learning requirements. They offer confidential advice and guidance on all disability related issues in relation to accessing your chosen course of study, applying for funding and referring disabled students to other services that can offer tailored support.
We support both home and international students with are disabled under the Equality Act 2010. This includes diagnoses of mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, neurodevelopmental conditions, such as ADHD and autism, and long-standing illnesses, such as cancer or diabetes.
We offer a range of support services and provisions for disabled students, including Individual Learning Support Plans, accessible car park, laptop loans, individual exam arrangements and support with funding applications.
