Professor Kumud Wijayaratna was the guest of honour and represented the University at the UK Culture & Education Festival 2026, held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking (HUB), under the theme “A Full Day of British Culture and Education at the University of Banking!”
The festival was organised to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking and to recognise the longstanding partnership between UGM and HUB. The event also highlighted the important role of the Vietnam–UK Friendship Association in strengthening relations between the two countries through education, culture, research and international collaboration.
As a valued transnational education partner, the University has developed a strong and enduring academic relationship with HUB, this successful collaboration has progressed to its 37th cohort of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme and the 23rd cohort of the Bachelor of Science (BSc) programme, reflecting the continued demand for high-quality British higher education in Vietnam.
The celebration of HUB’s 50th anniversary marked not only a significant milestone, but also an opportunity to reaffirm the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing education, cultural exchange and international friendship for future generations.
