After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing, I worked as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department at Bradford Royal infirmary. I then progressed my career as a Stroke Clinical Nurse Specialist and Sister in Acute Stroke and Neurology. Whilst working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist I completed a PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice.
I joined University of Bolton in 2019 as a Senior Lecturer at the satellite centre for Nursing at Bradford. I have a particular interest in Acute Stroke and Thrombolysis as well as End of life care.
I am a Trustee for Bradford Bereavement Support service.
