Dr Payam Salamati

Senior Lecturer in Civil and Construction Project Management

Dr. Payam Salamati is a Senior Lecturer in Civil and Construction Project Management and the Programme Leader for both the BSc and MSc in Construction Project Management at the University of Bolton. With a background in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying, Dr. Salamati brings over 10 years of academic and industry experience in construction project management, disaster management, and sustainable urban development. He holds a PhD in Construction Management from the University of Salford, where his doctoral research focused on enhancing the resilience of Iranian hospitals to earthquake and flood disasters.

His teaching expertise spans modules including Construction Project Management, Project Finance, Sustainable Construction, and Geospatial Surveying. His research interests centre on BIM, off-site construction, risk management, sustainability, and disaster management, particularly within the context of urban resilience and the built environment. Dr. Salamati's extensive industry experience and academic background inform his teaching approach, fostering a rich, practical learning environment for students. He has previously worked at universities in the UK and Iran, contributing to both teaching and research in the field of construction management.
