Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sports for 2014-2020. It includes learning mobility of individuals, cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practice, and support for policy reform. The University of Bolton participates in the learning and training mobility key action area for the 2014-15 academic year. From 2015, we shall also be participating in the cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices.
The mobility programme is aimed at increasing student and staff mobility and gives staff and students the chance to learn about different European countries and experience living and studying and/or working and training in them. Through doing this, they learn about different cultures, gain new experiences, and enhance their CVs. All Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) participating in Erasmus+ have an Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The University of Greater Manchester has an ECHE. Erasmus+ is part of the University of Greater Manchester’s strategy for internationalisation and employability. The University of Greater Manchester encourages students and staff to participate in Erasmus+.
